Room allocation can be a nightmare with mismatched expectations!!! The gym facilities feel underwhelming and outdated, especially when compared to modern resorts. Maintenance issues like unpleasant odors need addressing for a more enjoyable stay!!!

pestana promenade ocean resort has an excellent location right in front of the lido promenade, and it's just a short walk to the lido swimming pools. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. our double room with a pool view was comfortable, with pretty trees and flowers around the terrace, creating a nice atmosphere. the spa was a highlight, providing a truly relaxing experience.

The hotel has amazing outdoor pools surrounded by beautiful flowers and bright colors that were a delight every day. One morning, I was surprised to find a plate of fresh fruit left in my room, a nice touch after a long day of exploring.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but it was still acceptable for what I got.

i've recently stayed in funchal and pestana promenade exceeded my expectations. the friendly staff provided exceptional service, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. the buffet breakfast featured multiple options, including fresh fruits and pastries, while the gorgeous infinity pool offered stunning ocean views and a relaxing atmosphere.

air conditioning was not effective.

The pool area offers ample seating with breathtaking ocean views, making it an ideal spot for downtime. Close proximity to the promenade and convenient access to various local restaurants and a supermarket enhances the experience, providing plenty of options for dining out.

Some rooms could use a facelift. there are noticeable stains on the walls and outdated furnishings, which diminish the ambiance. The mattress in the room felt a bit too firm for my liking, and I struggled with the depth of the pillows, leading me to improvise with cushions. Additionally, the dinner buffet left much to be desired, lacking in flavor and variety, feeling more like a missed opportunity than a satisfying meal. I also noticed some concerns with security regarding a patio door that inexplicably remained unlocked after I secured it. While it didn’t lead to anything stolen, it's a point of tension that shouldn't be happening.

The hotel's pool area is gorgeous, with an infinity pool overlooking the sea. We enjoyed breakfast with a stunning view and loved visiting the Flower Festival nearby. The staff's warm hospitality made us feel welcome throughout our stay with our young baby.

In my wife’s opinion, the sunbeds weren't ideal for our elderly dad.
